We did the Driveway in November of 2007. After purchasing the land in 2006 we were promptly told by our new Neighbors that they owned the land from the road in for about 12 feet all the way around our 12.5 acres. We were not aware of any of this and one particular Neighbor has not been too nice about it. He told us he didn't want us moving there and even laughed when he was told that he made our kids cry because he was so mean to us. No one wanted to sell us a small part of the land to put our driveway in.
Well, long story short they don't own the land. Our title shows that we own the land all the way up to the road. So just getting this driveway being put in has felt like quite an accomplishment! We tried to take down the least amount of trees as possible.
